Our hotel offers one of the most amazing views of the town: on the left, there are two hills called Tanád and Paradajz. Above the New Castle there are town areas called Horná a Dolná Resla, and in the proximity of the castle there is a Jewish cemetery, and on the right, the upper part of the Knocking Tower can be seen. The building of Kammerhof is situated next to the town´s main street. Opposite the building there is a Catholic Guild and the church dubbed German. A couple of steps from the church there are two historic buildings of secondary schools. Below the Evangelical Church there is a building of the Jewish Synagogue. St. Catherine’s Church marks the lowest point of the sloping St. Trinity Square.

Between 1564 – 1571 a massive cuboid-shaped building known as the New Castle was erected on the top of Frauenberg Hill. In the 13th century the Church of Virgin Mary below Paradajz Hill was built, which was, three centuries later, turned into an anti-Turkish fortress, now known as The Old Castle.
